Germanic religion still holds on gamely in Scandinavia, while Shia Islam causes all kinds of problems for Dar al-Islam. Looks like Gottfried Karling might be able to form HRE if he can conquer Austrasia and wait until Italy is no longer needed for HRE formation (happens after some year IIRC) so this might happen! Eastern Europe is still quite a mess and the ERE doesn't seem to have expanded significantly, probably due the revolts. Gottfried Karling controls East Francia, West Francia, Burgundy, and Saxony, while Teatbald of Austrasia controls. The Muhallabid Sultanate controls much of Egypt and North Africa and the Umayyads control Iberia. Islam is divided with Kizid dynasty following Shia Islam while controlling Mesopotamia, Syria, and western Persia, with the Shiite Sulayman dynasty controlling much of the rest of the Arabian peninsula and Persia as the nominal Caliphate of Sunni Islam. With 38 living members we are a huge dynasty.ĭenmark is a two-title kingdom controlling much of Norway, Sweden, and Finland, still far from being able to form Scandinavia but quite mighty.
